Nelly Korda is an American professional golfer, known for her powerful swing and consistent performances. She has made a significant impact on women's golf, and was the first to reach the No. 1 spot in the Women's World Golf Rankings in 2021.
Korda comes from a family of athletes. Her father, Petr Korda, is a former professional tennis player and Grand Slam champion. Her older sister, Jessica Korda, is also a successful LPGA Tour golfer, and her younger brother, Sebastian, won the 2018 Australian Open tennis title in the boys' division.
An inspiring philanthropist and humanitarian, Korda donated $25,000 to the Kids’ Food Basket in Grand Rapids, Michigan in 2021 on behalf of her victory at the Meijer LPGA Classic. She has also taken to social media to show her support of Michelle Wie West’s charitable efforts to support the recovery of Maui following the devastating wildfire.
Korda had a standout Olympic debut at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, where she competed in the women's individual golf event and won gold. She became the second woman from the United States to win the gold medal and the first since Margaret Abbott in the 1900 Olympic Games.

Early Career
Korda showed early promise in golf, winning the 2015 Harder Hall Invitational and the 2015 PING Invitational as an amateur. Korda also made the cut at the 2013 U.S. Women's Open.
